It means understanding materials, construction, finishing, details and the overall consistency of the object.

This course introduces participants to the concrete knowledge of Leather Goods and Small Leather Goods — bags, wallets, belts and leather accessories — with the aim of developing a more conscious way of reading quality, visible authenticity cues and the intrinsic characteristics of the product.

Through real examples, finished products, production components, materials and defect cases, participants learn how to distinguish a characteristic from an imperfection, identify signs of inconsistency or poor quality, and understand how leather, fabrics, coated materials, components and constructions influence product value.

The course is also designed for professionals working in retail and customer relations. More than ever, sustainability, transparency and product awareness require store teams to describe what they sell with precision, explaining materials, construction, ageing, product care and quality in a clear and credible way.

The aim is not to turn every participant into a leather goods technician or a legal counterfeit expert, but to provide practical tools to observe products more effectively, recognize quality elements, detect possible authenticity or consistency red flags, and communicate product value with greater confidence.

Focus

The course aims to develop the ability to read a leather goods product professionally, beyond the brand name, by understanding its construction quality, materials, details and technical consistency.

Participants will acquire an observation method useful for quality control and production, as well as for retail, assisted selling, resale and customer relations in a market increasingly focused on authenticity, transparency and sustainability.

Course Structure

The curriculum combines direct product observation, material
